What is SCORE?

SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, is a volunteer, non-profit association. Through free, individual in-depth counseling and training, SCORE volunteers help prospective and established small business owners and managers identify problems, determine the causes, and find solutions. SCORE also helps successful firms in planning for expansion. For more information, visit www.score.org

Is my Business eligible?

Any small business can obtain free, confidential help. Whether considering starting your own business, have a business that is experiencing problems, are ready to expand, or need some other type of advice, SCORE can help.

What SCORE provides at the Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL)

  • Advisory services to small business managers and entrepreneurs
  • Free, on site services available daily
  • One on one appointments available Tuesday through Thursday from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Workshops and seminars at low cost

How to get in contact with SCORE at SIBL

  • SCORE has an office in room 49, on the lower level of SIBL (188 Madison Avenue corner 34th street) next to the McGraw Information Services Center Desk
  • Ask at the McGraw Information Services Center Desk for the next available appointment
  • Appointments can be made any time SIBL is open
  • Appointments must be made in person
