Small Group Meeting Room Online Request

Small meeting rooms are available at no cost for groups of 2-6 people working on a project together or meeting related to SIBL's business or science resources. Time slots are for one hour or two hours.

To request to use a room, fill in all fields on this form and click to submit. Note: Requests sent online require at least one day advance notice for use of a room during the same week. Note: SIBL Group Meeting rooms may not be requested more than one week in advance.

Once you submit a request online, wait until the next day for a reply from our staff, who will reply in e-mail with a confirmation if a room is available. (Rooms are also available for same day sign up but for same day use you must come in to the library in person to sign up. You may also call to request a group meeting room : 212-592-7029.

Please note guidelines for meeting room use: Please be on time for your assigned room. Late comers may forfeit the room and/or time slot. Timed sessions will not generally be extended if you are late.

  1. Food and beverages (except water bottles) are not permitted in meeting rooms.
  2. Meeting participants must leave the room at the end of the assigned timeslot, taking all personal belongings with them.
  3. Please moderate your voices so that others are not disturbed.
  4. Library books may be brought into a meeting room, but must be returned to the original location.
  5. Table and several chairs are provided. You are welcome to bring personal laptops. Wifi internet is available in the meeting rooms along with access to SIBL's databases.
  6. SIBL reserves the right at its own discretion to limit the number of times per week or per month that a group or individual may use a meeting room. For larger groups, SIBL also offers conference rooms & training rooms for rental fees.
