Psychology
The General Research Division of The New York Public Library collects extensively in specific areas of psychology, with the general emphasis of the collection being in theory and research rather than applied, practical or medical aspects of psychology. Major collection strengths include all bibliographies, histories and biographies relevant to major theorists in the field (i.e., Freud, Jung, Adler, Piaget).
