Vase. Showing obverse and reverse, the latter with typical First Empire gilded decoration. Painted with figure subject of lady with hawk. On base is inscribed - "A Merlin small she held upon her Handle,/ With Hoode and Jesses gallantlie bedighte,/ But little did she neede or Hoode or Bande,/ Could he but gaze on her, full safe were he from flyghte" (Old Ballad).
