Book reviews are useful for determining a book’s contemporary reception. Several full-text resources for locating book reviews are available online, notably New York Times and the Times Literary Supplement. For other newspapers or periodicals in hard copy or on microfilm, check CATNYP.
Book Review Digest [electronic resource]
An index, with abstracts, to book reviews from publications in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain, including The New York Times Book Review, The Times Literary Supplement, and The New York Review of Books. Availability of this electronic resource can be found at Humanities and Social Sciences Library, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Science, Industry and Business Library, and The New York Public LIbrary for the Performing Arts.

Online reference system offering a variety of databases, many featuring full-text articles. Provides access to the MLA, and is useful for locating book reviews.
