Introduction

When looking for materials on women and Islam in the Library Catalog, try Muslim women and women in Islam. If you want to limit your search, you can add terms such as legal status, Qur'an, and social conditions. These can be used when doing a keyword subject search on LEO as well as when searching the Internet. Make sure to check whether the book you want is available and ask at the Information Desk for location. Most of the materials mentioned here are available at the History and Social Sciences Department at the Mid-Manhattan Library.
